You'd think safety Kerry Rhodes would be absolutely ecstatic to no longer be part of the New York Jets...

Timberwolves Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)

Center Al Jefferson returned to action Monday night after an eight-day absence that he said was anything but a vacation. Suspended by the team for two games because of his Feb. 28 drunken-driving arrest, Jefferson came back with an energy and an efficiency mostly missing in the weeks before his absence. He scored 36 points—most by a Timberwolf this season—in a home loss to Dallas. The Timberwolves committed 26 turnovers to the Mavericks' nine, and afterward Jefferson delivered an address that could have been about either his last nine days or the Wolves' bad night. "Basketball is a game of mistakes, life is mistakes," Jefferson said. "You make a mistake, you learn from it." He called the preceding week the "longest seven days of my life," and that...

76ers Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)

A report on a Philadelphia television station cited unnamed sources as saying Sixers coach Eddie Jordan won't be back for a second season as the team's coach. It also listed four possible replacements: former NBA coaches Doug Collins, Avery Johnson, Jeff Van Gundy and current Villanova coach Jay Wright. At a season ticket-holders' event Monday, team president Ed Stefanski didn't refute the TV station's report, though he said earlier in the day that management hadn't yet made that decision. Several people present at the season ticket-holders' event said Stefanski seemed fairly critical of Jordan, who he hired last June 1, throughout the evening and shared some of the fans' concerns (such as with Jordan's ever-changing rotations, his penchant for trying to place the blame...

Trail Blazers Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)

The Trail Blazers have had a devil of a time beating Golden State at Oakland, the city they'll visit Thursday to face the Warriors. Portland has lost nine straight times at ORACLE Arena dating back to 2004. "Can't let it get to 10," Portland point guard Andre Miller said. "We have to figure out how we can get a win down there." The Warriors "have been able to get the tempo at their (fast) pace down there," said Nate McMillan, who has never beaten Golden State on the road since becoming the Blazers' head coach in 2005. "We've always gotten caught up in that tempo." Golden State ranks second in the NBA in scoring at 107.2 points per game, but yields a league-high 111.2 points per contest. With Monta Ellis out with a back injury, Portland's defensive...

Wizards Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)

The Washington Wizards have already said that they don't know how much of a player they will be in the free agent market, despite having cleared a number of huge salaries at the trade deadline. This means that the Wizards might very well field the same starting frontcourt—Al Thornton, Andray Blatche and JaVale McGee—that they've run out in recent days. The problem here is age. With a collective average age of just 23, all of the Wizards' present frontcourt players expected to come off the bench this season when it began. Their immaturity was evident for the first time this season earlier in the week when the Wizards blew a big lead in the fourth quarter at Boston.
